Commissioning a Butterfield Original First Phase: Initial Consultation I offer a free initial consultation. This is a time to get to know each other and explore the project scope. The project form begins to take shape and details, fees and possibilities are explored. Second Phase: Design and Scheduling In the design phase, concept drawings are generated so that a clear, mutually agreeable project can be confirmed. There is a design fee of $50 / hour. Once design and project details are complete a firm budget estimate and timetable can be established. An agreement is then drafted outlining project cost, materials and areas of responsibility. At this time, in order to confirm the agreement, a non-refundable scheduling fee is required, usually in the amount of 10% - 20% of the total commission estimate. Third Phase: Engagement to Completion Once a scheduling fee has been received and a date established to begin the commission, I start the project. Regular periodic billings are made as work progresses. Billings are accompanied by progress photos. Balance is due upon completion. To order, contact me by phone or e-mail
