| Comice Bounty 94" x 44" / Red Oak This beautiful entry door carving is an honorarium to two things; first, in building their new custom dream home, my clients' wanted to honor that which allowed them to prosper over the last 30 years in the orchard business, hence, the Comice Pear tree, second, it so happened that 1999, the year I received this commission, was by far the largest harvest of Comice in the history of Southern Oregon. My design is based on drawings and photographs of this record-breaking year and captures the actual fruit laden tree ready for harvest. |
